kitten (Smokey) I had taken in back in November is
positive. I had him tested back in November and it
was negative, but he kept on getting fevers and the
vet did blood work. He was anemic and his red and
white blood cell count was low. The

having the same problem with fevers and so far these

now. He had been tested for felv when I first got him
and it was negative but after about a month he started
getting fevers. After alot of medications to get the
fever down only to have it go back up again the vet

like to know the course of treatment your vet has
chosen for immuno-regulin too. Smokey is on
immuno-regulin but the vet hasn't said how long he
will continue to get the injections. To be honest I
thought he would continue to get 2 injections
care of whatever problem they were
having in the first
place. It doesn't seem reasonable to keep the
immune system fighting
when it isn't necessary, it's not like building
muscles, (or is it?).

My Stinky had that. She ate all of the time but she
just kept on losing weight. She passed away in
February. I really don't know alot about
malabsorption but poor Stinky really got so skinny.
She was a big cat until then. Sinky wasn't felv+. I

Smokey is about a year and 4 months old now. He was
around 10 months old when he was diagnosed. He had
been tested for feline leukemia in November or
December 05 and it was negative then around January he
started running a fever. They would give him
antibiotics the fever would come down and in
I am giving it to Smokey subq. Smokey was running
fevers back in January and February. The vet wanted
to try using the immuno-regulin to see if it might
help. He hasn't had any fevers since I started giving
him these injections which was back in March. The
fevers were the only problems he has
nervous about doing it.

is treating other cats with the virus. I had to
change vets with my cat Smokey because the vet I had
been using for 15 years didn't seem to want to treat
him. I don't know alot about the virus as Smokey is
the first cat I have had that was
Most of the time I could tell Smokey had a fever when
he was lethargic and didn't care about eating. He
always gets up when I come into the room so when he
had a fever he wouldn't get up. He would just lay
there with his head down.
