That time-line is about right. Some vets will say 90 days. If the Elisa is positive again, then do another IFA. If you get a negative again on the IFA, then you will have to repeat again. Of course if the ELISA is negative, there is no need to to another IFA (which means she cleared the virus). How old is Miss Nora? Good luck!! I hope so too!!! My kitty was negative on the ELISA test at 5 mos of age. He passed away from the FeLV at 9 mos. It was very sudden, and, of course, very upsetting. This happened this past March and I'm still in shock over it. As far as Miss Nora, you still need another test regardless if the first was a false positive so you can be sure and for piece of mind. Since she is still so young, you need to give her immune system a chance to clear the virus. If you can wait the 90 days, I would do that. If not test her again and go from there. Keep us posted and I will keep my fingers crossed and pray for little Miss Nora!
