PS. In a young cat especially, undetected HCM usually strikes kitties 6 and under, I had one that was 9 years old die from this. Perfectly healthy until he had a seizure and died. The vet said from the symptoms I described it was heart related. He did check him over to see if he choked on

Because of the age and suddeness I would guess a heart thing. Many cats with undiagnosed Cardiomyapathy can pass suddenly with no outward symptoms, generally before or by the age of 6. I lost my Snyder very suddenly at age 9, no symptoms what-so-ever, just the day he died, he had a heart
