re medicating: wouldn't it be lovely if we could talk to them and explain why
we are doing this. then they would not consider us the most horrible living
creature ever and fight us so. i have 2 like this and they both have candida
in their ears. i have found that sitting in a chair with a

may be a tiny sting, but the trick is to get them to hold still and allow you
to stick them. i have to that go balistic when i pick them up for meds. they
know what i am up to and start running when they see me. even tried doing it
at different times of the day. dorlis

Hi Amy,
Wolfie's HCT at 29% isn't horrible,
Epogen isn't
given until the HCT drops to 20% or lower.
Yeah didn't plan to start Epogen til it drops to 20 or lower. Just trying to
do my research and prepare since I've never had one stop dropping once the HCT
starts going down.

PS. You can give the injections
yourself. They usually give them once a week, any

Hi Amy,
Wolfie's HCT at 29% isn't horrible, Fred who I get the vit B for, his
HCT hangs around 24% to 26%, he is CRF and some cats with CRF if they
live long enough with it will slowly develop anemia and at some point if
they live long enough some will eventually need Epogen. Epogen
PS. The Nutrived does contain more iron and a little more of some of
the other ingredients, you could always buy a bottle of folic acid, I
did that too and the capsules are tiny and you would only need a tiny
bit of that, so you could open the capsule and sprinkle a tiny bit on
his food, it
just to chime in, have been using vitamin-b-complex for years now. if you
are also hydrating, you can inject 3ccs into the port in the bag and just
add it to them that way.

Wolfie. She said the vets on VIN recommended it (not sure if that meant
specifically for cats with hemobart, anemia, or possible malabsorption
problems). She said they are thought to sting but that it might be

Be careful with the iron injections, cats don't need much iron, maybe
go with the vit b injections and the pet tinic for now and see how he
does with that and the pred and doxy.

Yes I do give my cats vit b injections, in fact I have a bottle at
the vets that I forgot to pick up today. Sometimes they notice
sometimes they don't, it is said to sting but the tiny needle you use
they can barely feel and you inject such a small amount by the time they
notice a sting, if
