She found warmth, food, love and compassion. She lived happily for a short time but that's better than living miserably for a long time. She was surrounded by people who understood her plight and didn't allow her to suffer. It may not have been a long life, but I'm sure for her it was a perfect one. Hugs and blessings to you.
