I'm writing about 2 male white kittens in Rochester, NY that desperately need a home. I just got a call from a woman about her son who died suddenly and unexpectedly. I don't know the details but I know he had 2 kittens that he loved dearly. He adopted them at 6 weeks old from our local humane

Karen, I would have never experienced the joys of watching an entire litter grow up together if they hadn't had felv. It was a wonderful experience. Kittens do get diarrhea, but I would worry if it doesn't clear up quick. I can't believe what you've already been through! Ringworm for all my

Hi Karen,I had fosters when I found out my foster was positive too. In fact the shelter had tested and told me my kitten was fiv positive (she wasn't old enough to be tested for that yet, so I wasn't worried). When I took her to be neutered I had them run another test to see if she still had

I agree with everything Belinda has said. I'm a little more 'out there' than most, but I just truly believe a vaccinated, adult cat is not going to 'catch' leukemia. Period. Kittens are very susceptible and need to be vaccinated asap. I would be very leery of mixing even a fully vaccinated

It's highly unlikely any of your healthy adult cats could have caught the virus, even with prolonged contact. It's almost always kittens under one year of age, or immune compromised cats (FIV+) that catch it from carriers. I would definitely test any cats that are weak, or under a year of
