Not necessarily. Cat's temps are warmer than ours in their normal
state, so she may not be able to gage if her ears are too warm. I
make a habit of touching their ears etc when I know they are feeling
good so I have a better idea when things are off. The only way to truly
tell is to take

Kerry in all fairness, cats that get HL after only a day or two of
not eating anything probably haven't been eating well for a few days and
it wasn't noticed until they stopped eating. Unless you weigh your
kitties regularly most people aren't going to notice that their cat
isn't eating
