theyre just going to wait everyone out let the cats starve to
death or hope they just magically disappear! Do you have any clue as to why

Big hugs to Pets Alive for offering to take these
kitties. And these nuns have not decided whether to allow the volunteers
to save the kitties? Boy, they really have a mean streak! If they
want the cats out of there they should be overjoyed at the offer. I'm not

Man, is that not true. It's amazing how cruel and uncompassionate the
people in spiritual and caring organizations can be sometimes. I cat-sat
for a nun who moved down here from Iowa, she was afraid that the Carmelite
Fathers there were going to kill the cat if she left it, and didn't have a

they contact one of the feral groups to help.
i was incredibly saddened by some of the responses my posting the

Right - one of the responses on their guestbook said it was just catholic
bashing. She doesn't own up to the nuns and fathers being human beings,
some of whom can be very cruel...
Sigh again.

Gee, is molesting altar boys also just Catholic bashing? Unfortunately anyone, whatever religion, can have a mean streak - isn't negated by being in a religious order. Would that it were."Gloria B. Lane" [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:

Nuns areJUST people. You have those that absolutely adore animals, like Sister Francis here in Havre de Grace that feeds all the stray animals in town, out of her own pocket...not easy for someone who has taken a vow of poverty, and Sister Freda who had her own cocker spaniel that went with her
Never thought about the ones who fed and still care for the cats - you are right - they need our prayers. This must be killing them.tamara stickler [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:

tamara, you are right--i have met some incredibly wonderful nuns
through the years, and the ones joining up now tend to be
awesome--however, as you implied, convents have long suffered from
definite powerlessness in their particular world, and as too often
happens EVERYWHERE, those who are
All excellent points. Thank you for bringing up the plight of whomever
has been caring for and loving these ferals. They must be tormented
about this. Thanks T.
