Re: Technical issues with FeLV/does anyone know themoderatorpersonally?
James is correct about Yahoo. I have another email address w/ them, and I am finding replies to my emails in the "bulk" section, as well as many of my emails are beoing returned one & two days later "undeliverable". This has happened to "good" email addresses, seems to mostly be affecting Road Runner accounts, but there have been some AOL & one ATT. So, I am switching my client base to Road Runner, Yahoo has been very unreliable. By the way, James, nice to meet you. I hope you feel better soon Susan J. Hi Wendy and all, Sorry to take so long to respond to this concern. As has been posted, my health isn't that good. It's not bad, but it's not good either. When there are problems between list members, I tend to wait and let folks work it out for themselves (unless it turns into a flame war, of course). And, over the nearly ten years of running this list, I've only had to ban five people for continuing to cause trouble. This is a good list with good folk who are trying to care for their FeLV+ cats. There maybe differences of opinion on certain topics, but as long as everyone is respectful of others' opinions, all is well. Wendy, as to the problem with your Yahoo account, I'm not sure what to say other than Yahoo has had a lot of problems lately. They are testing various methods of SPAM control, so we are an occasional casualty. Also, I didn't receive your previous emails asking for assistance because the felvtalk-owner account is deluged with SPAM (several hundred per day now). If anyone needs me for anything, please keep my personal email address handy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Best wishes to everyone. James G. Wilson - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.felineleukemia.org

James, so good to hear from you; you're a real special guy. I will always be so grateful to you for the fact that the list exists in the first place, and was there for me when I needed it most. Sending many good wishes for your health's improvement, kindest regards always, Kerry M. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of James G Wilson Sent: Thursday, July 12, 2007 10:42 PM To: felvtalk@felineleukemia.org Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: Technical issues with FeLV/does anyone know themoderatorpersonally? I would respond, but I just cannot take on another list right now.. :( Susan J. I honestly think that the OT list is not hard to follow in addition to this one. My only problem is that I need to switch the OT list to my work address instead of home since I'm seldom available at home anymore. There really aren't very many posts on the OT lists besides the regular information regarding kitties that are about to be gassed (so sad!). The only problem I have with the OT list is that frequently no one responds to my OT posts! I must be either mega-boring or there's just not enough people to respond. Phaewryn does a good job of answering my kitty health questions that aren't FeLV, but other stuff gets ignored. So much for chit chat. Seems everyone is very busy in the summer anyway. I've got some things I'd like to bring up, but I'm going to wait and do it on the OT list even though there aren't as many people there. I want to respect the FeLV nature of this group. I wouldn't feel so bad straying off topic if I actually still had an FeLV kitty, but all the ones I've got now are FeLV negative. Hi All, I don't post much anymore, but I do continue to read your posts & I have been keeping your fur-babies in my prayers. I have been on the list for a long time & while I don't know James *personally*, I do know that attachements are usually a no-no as well as posts that are very long. I've also heard from several co-workers & friends that have "upgraded" to Vista and most of them regret it - way to many problems involved, but I don't know if that would have any impact the list mail, just your own personal computer. Also, some people seem to get the list emails snagged by their spam filters. Adding felvtalk@felineleukemia.org to your favorites list seems to help alleviate this filtering. In Dec 2005, Jenn/Phaewryn created the OT list so that this one could be mostly just FeLV information & discussions, which is what new-comers are searching for when they find us. This is what her original post said: "OT list created. Join HERE: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/felvot/ If you are already a member at any Yahoo service, you can sign up with your existing yahoo ID, just let me know who you are, so I can connect your yahooID with you name on this list, because I made it a closed list, so ONLY members HERE can sign up THERE, and I have to approve everyone manually. Otherwise, just use your email address that you use here, and I will approve you instantly." If I remember correctly, James's health isn't the best and he's been very busy & I believe he is also legally blind, so please be patient with him, and the rest of us. We are one of the most caring list families around. Kat (Mew Jersey) IRS CIRCULAR 230 NOTICE.
