Hey Laurie, The reason vets like to treat for hemobart without the test is that the hemobart tends to hide itself on the slides. It's very hard to diagnose. I think it's possible that my cat Cricket died of hemobart b/c I knew nothing about it and none of the three vets that saw him suggested
