That's really good. When Simon needed transfusions due to his
lymphoma, before the chemo kicked in, the transfusions would raise his count
only by 2 points or so and the effect would only last about 4 days. He got 3
transfusions over an 8 day period and I don't think his count ever went

I know that you do not like the house call vets you have used thus
far, but would you trust them just for the purpose of administering the I-R
while you are gone if they would be willing to do that? For a vet, giving an IV
shot is incredibly easy and takes a minute. It is not
Are my posts getting through???
Still waiting to hear anything on the fate of the FeLV+ cats...

Hi Tad,
Your posts are coming through, I think most people are just gone for the holiday. I personally think your idea is a good one. Although, you can forcefeed, I think these cats have been through so much already that I probably would let them go if they weren't eating.

Hi Tonya
Mt thought exactly...With all the stress of being moved and a 1500
mile transport ahead of them...
I don't know what kind of care they are getting now but its been a
couple days already and FeLV+'s won't fight off the virus long if they
aren't eating now
And if they are eating
Tad,
Your posts are coming through...probably most are on holiday with their families.

one of them to bring them to anywhere eastern half of NY..I would meet
them there...They don't do well sitting in a strange cage

hey, tad--
while getting the cats moved any which way is a priority, when you're
transporting sick/easily stressed critters, a normal transport is
probably NOT the best idea--the more stops, the more moving from
vehicle to vehicle, the more humans handling them, etc. the harder the
trip's gonna
They look so pitiful. This is so sad. I admire you Jenn and Tad and everyone else involved in trying to find homes for these guys. I'm really thinking about it, but I really don't need to bring someone new into the mix I have right now. :(

Lots of legs on that one still not filled
anyways, most of those long ones never get filled, and they end up being
repeatedly cancelled. I will write them anyways, and ask if they can attach some
cats if they can fill all the legs.

I was at work all day, sorry! I'm back and on the
move, yes, your idea of if they eat, they want to live was taken into action.
One has been euthanised, because he was "neurological and blind and couldn't
even get around". Pics of all of them (the FELV+)so far are on this page:
Hi Mary

the pictures ... Looks like we have 8 FeLV+'sAnd from the pictures
they don't look any worse than several of the stray pos's that I have
here when I got them and are doing fine now...
Also looks like they have
