Would it be better for him to just stay on the Prednesolone? I have heard that
also has side effects, though.

I'm so happy for your good news!! The kittens are precious (as all
kittens are) and the pic of THE PILE makes me want to join them in the
cage. Here are vibes that they all find just the right homes!

Great news!
Wonder if the babies are at risk if nursing? Did vet say anything about
that?
Just curious.
Keep sharing your message of hope!!

Yes, they get some *particles or something from nursing the Mom, but if
they have a strong immune system, they can *throw it off in time* . That is
why I waited so long to get them tested.to give the immune system time to do
that. They say it is transferred in the Mom's milk!

Hi all,
My FeLV foster kitten, Daisy (about 14 weeks old now) has had soft
stools, and sometimes uncontrollable diarrhea, ever since she was found
in the street at 3 weeks.
When I began fostering her about 5 weeks ago she had been taking meds
for coccidia for several weeks without improvement. I
One note on coccidia--I'm a remote volunteer for a shelter in Louisiana and
they recently had some very young pups with Coccidia. They put them on
Albon and it still wouldn't clear up. Then the vet used Marquis Paste
instead and it seems to have really cleared it up. I've read a number of
My Yoda (non-felv) as a baby had a lot of that intermittent diarrhea as a baby
(the archives are peppered with my Yoda diarrhea emails!). I got so
frustrated- trying everything- and unlike you, I had a stupid doc that just
said, oh we didn't find anything in the fecal-- and I was like, well,
Thanks Christhat's v interesting. Will add to the coccidia folder.

Thanks for this info Caroline--will be looking into this one. I'd never
heard of it before. I like that it's safe too, and generally gets the
gut back in order. Paws crossed! Kerry

I talked with Hideyo (former list member) who said that she has heard
of people who have had good results
with Leukeran. She also said to caution you to be patient when going
back on the full strength Predinisole. It sometimes
does not work right away.
Something is wrong with her computer
Jane,
Thank you for your help. Buzz is not doing too badly, we caught it when his
blood levels were in the twenties this time. Last time he was down to
eight. We have been testing his blood every other week and I purchased a pet
scale to monitor his weight more closely.
I guess it is
Hi Sue
I can ask Hideyo ...hopefully I can get an answer for you tomorrow.
I hope it is something that can be put into remission, but I am not
sure.
I know how much you care for Buzz and I am sure that he knows that ...

I rescued a litter of kittens and they have been diagnosed with feline
