Most cats don't need iron supplemented but yes there are iron shots, Baileys iron was a little low and he did get a couple of shots but the epogen and prednisolone were in my opinion the main things that helped him, the doxy I wanted him on as a precaution, he always tested negative on the

Yes, it probably was ARF from a toxin but she was only stabilized after weeks of constant IV and had to remain on fluids, both the treating vet and specialist diagnosed her as CRF (following ARF, if that makes any sense). She is doing very well now, but they really didn't expect her to make it

Oh and they did definitely state that she was end stage when we rushed her in, they couldn't even measure her numbers, maybe the term was used loosely based on the numbers meaning that she should not have been alive since her BUN was over 300 once they diluted and we able to measure. On Fri, Jun
