An absolute MUST: CoQ10 - get the powdered version that is Vegetarian at GNC, or I've been told Whole Foods also carries the capsules in powder form. Open capsule, mix 1/2 of 100mg into food daily! Vitamin C would also help, and Echinacea drops would be great - in fact, it should be given to all

I was just reading about bovine lactoferrin for the same reason--seems worth a try to me. I've also seen flagyl/metronidazole mentioned (used in conjunction with antibiotics, I think)perhaps you could ask your vet about this? Trental is another thing I read about helping a difficult case.
