You shouldm't need to do anything special. You can wash bowls bedding, but it
really isn' that big a deal. Its not like distemper which lives for years
Congratulations on your new baby!

I know you are asking Ginger, but I thought I would chime in. I had the
same worry as you. I did lots of reading on it and most of the info was that
the virus does not live long outside the body for more than a few hours. But
for my own piece of mind, I discarded all the bowls, the litter box,
the same with felv?

Congratulations!
Just wash all the bedding, feeding bowls that are plastic (don't use them,
anyway because they are porous), get some new toys, and you're set! I
remember the days when it was a 6-month wait before one could introduce a
new FeLV- cat into a household that had a FeLV+ cat..Natalie
Vets still tell people to wait 6 months throw everything away. No logic to
it, but they want to cover themselves. Part of why people are so scared of FeLV.

FIV I wouldn't worry about ar all. With FeLV it doesnt live long outside body.
Just wash everything as you would with any new kitry.

The black salve I told you about from the 2053 group is NOT as painful as
the neoplasene..anything is painful, surgery, etc., it's cancer! Natalie
