You shouldm't need to do anything special. You can wash bowls bedding, but it really isn' that big a deal. Its not like distemper which lives for years Congratulations on your new baby! Beth botha.marin...@gmail.com wrote: Ginger: we want to introduce a 12 week old kitty to our home. What

I know you are asking Ginger, but I thought I would chime in. I had the same worry as you. I did lots of reading on it and most of the info was that the virus does not live long outside the body for more than a few hours. But for my own piece of mind, I discarded all the bowls, the litter box,

Congratulations! Just wash all the bedding, feeding bowls that are plastic (don't use them, anyway because they are porous), get some new toys, and you're set! I remember the days when it was a 6-month wait before one could introduce a new FeLV- cat into a household that had a FeLV+ cat..Natalie

Yes a cat can test + for both. FIV is not transmitted through bowls, bedding etc but through deep bites. FeLV is more contagious but just wash bowls etc. Don't have to wait six months Marta http://homelessnomore.webs.com/ From: Beth create_me_...@yahoo.com To: felvtalk@felineleukemia.org

The black salve I told you about from the 2053 group is NOT as painful as the neoplasene..anything is painful, surgery, etc., it's cancer! Natalie From: felvtalk-boun...@felineleukemia.org [mailto:felvtalk-boun...@felineleukemia.org] On Behalf Of pandie...@aol.com Sent: Sunday, March 18, 2012
