Thank you Amani - I knew you would be able to be concise and to the point - and
with FeLV time can not be wasted. One thing though - would it be wise to
retest??
Thank you,

I am wondering if colloidial silver would help. I am soon going in for heart
surgery and am taking mine with me to super bug infections. Can cats take
this? Just a thought.

Hi Sandy,
I think that it is the old FIV vaccine that you are thinking of. It is no
longer on the market.
Once cats were vaccinated with it they would test positive on a SNAP test.
Cats vaccinated with the FeLV vaccine will not test positive afterwards, at
least that I have ever heard.

No. A cat vaccinated for FIV can test pos. Not FELV.

This is what our vet told us last week. When we found out our Destiny had
FeLV, we took our four other cats in. They were all fine except one, Blossom.
She is 16 and basically has one kidney, but seemed to be fine with the meds and
diet. She is FIV! So not a good month for our cats. I am u
Robert, I wouldn't worry about the pred. Cats are much more tolerant of it than
dogs or humans, and I've had cats on it for years.
It's part of some rescue protocols for cancers, so I'd say go for it.
Wishing Gilbert the best...
