I have no idea. Was the test result wrong initially? My current vet thinks she was born with it or had it when we found her at 2 months. I would advise all cats be tested; people need to know if their cat needs extra care, but I am glad we did not know. Had we known, we would not have kept

The record does not specify the type of test done initially. The most recent test was done in house and a drop of blood was put in a solution to change color. It was very hard to see that it was positive. The vet thought it was negative, but a tech pointed out a faint blue line that meant
