have they checked her for an esophageal stricture? SAME THING happened to Momma Kat and they had did the following treatment: "BES is best treated with mechanical dilation using a balloon catheter under endoscopic guidance" She has this done three times before it finally "tooK". When she eats, does she hold her head to the side and chew like something is stuck in her mouth or throat? I just let the hot water run until it is hot enough to warm up the food so it smells good and they come running. I only give each one about 1 teaspoon because they prefe the liquid to the actual meat. They will come back later and nibble at the meat, but the liquid dissappears real fast. I've never had a cat eat anything from the microwave. They are just too smart for their own good! I always set any cold food out at room temp and they have always seemed to like it better. KFC (minus the skin), the cheapest tuna (forget the good stuff, they don't like it), soupy stuff (even the healthy ferals seem to like the juice/liquid better than the meat alone). Hunter would eat raw hamburger with very hot water poured on it in small amounts just before he left this world. This gave a fatty liquid + meat similar to a just killed critter I guess. He drank it and enjoyed it when he enjoyed nothing else. Hunter was not FELV+ to the BOMK. The ferals like their mackerel mashed up with hot water too. The trick is to make it sort of stew like. How about some sort of laxative---hair ball gel Someone on the board will be better with this than I am. The ferals usually have the opposite issue. Bless you and hang in there. It really is worth it. On May 8, 2011, at 4:16 PM, Natalie wrote: Instead of an enema, which cats (nor we) really appreciate, why not try some fiber?
