Thanks so much for your info because I was starting to feel like my kitty would never get better because the force feedings are discouraging. It's been 2 weeks now with the intense force feedings. I really hope he will turn the corner like your Macey. My mom I took his temp today and he was 103.6. He's going back to the vet Monday so I will ask for Azithromycin instead to the amoxacillin. Plus he will have bloodwork done too. So your kitty does not have to take AZT? This is so much help as far as getting though this. I cry almost everynight and talk to him and encourage him to get better. I am hoping for that miracle. I was beginning to doubt myself and wonder if I was making him suffer but the reason why I did adopt him was that fact he bit me when I put my hand into the cage at Pet Smart so I know he has alot of fight in him. We brought him down after everyone left from thanksgiving dinner so we could have our own thanksgiving with him because he likes to lay on the steps. Did your kitty have the whites of his eyes almost covering up his eyes? Sometimes I wonder if he can see sometimes.
