Except that all the incentive billions are still being given to big oil and small companies that are trying to develop alternative energy aren't getting ANYbig oil doesn't want to give up the ! They started getting subsidies in the 50s so that that they could afford drilling oil...do they need the extra money now? After not only NOT paying a penny in taxes because of all the loopholes, making record profits in HISTORY, but still getting out tax dollars to keep them afloat - poor, poor, corporations! What a shame Lorrie. You are right, they don't do it safely so you would get the same result out in the boonies or anywhere for that matter. I'm so sorry you experienced this horrible ordeal! I've also heard that if the land owner's cattle die, the drillers replace them and pay the homeowner to keep mum. Thanks for sharing your story. It's such a terrible and devastating process that I would not want anyone to experience it. I also think of our pets/livestock it effects.
