Re: Cat on immunoregulin - colloidal silver

I have some Colloidal Silver, but have never learned to use it
appropriately so it sits on my shelf. I know some folks who really
like it. I do try a lot of different things.

Quackwatch.com has interesting negative info, but is hardly a
reliable source of balanced information. I think if it's not
approved by the FDA and the AMA, he's negative on it.

If your cat is a Russian Blue, I suppose it's totally harmless, LOL!

Yeap. Colloidal silver- that's what my vet prescribed. I'm still waiting for
him to get back with some for me. Abu's not on chemo yet as we've not
confirmed what the lump is yet - we'll be doing that on Thursday (please
pray for him that its dissapeared by thursday).

Another thing, has anyone tried Renafood? I can't get them to ship the item
to Singapore. I even called Standard process and they said they won't accept
my vet's prescription. They'll only take a US based vet's prescription.

I so need to help Abu. I'm going to work hard to get my baby better.

A home-made renal diet would be far superior to any you could buy
commercially anyways, I believe Belinda can share a recipe or two with
you...

Belinda...?

I think she means colloidal silver. I heard about it when I was on an
IBD list. I even purchased some, but chickened out when it came to
trying it. I have read of anequdotal reports of it benefiting immune
related diseases. Here's an excerpt from a website about it:
http://nccam.nih.gov/health/alerts/silver/index.htm

Colloidal silver products are often marketed with various unproven
health-related claims. Examples include that they benefit the immune
system; kill disease-causing agents such as bacteria, viruses, and
fungi; are an alternative to prescription antibiotics; or treat diseases
such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, syphilis, scarlet fever,
shingles, herpes, pneumonia, and prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate).

I've never heard of silver collagen, but the other treatments sound
logical and appropriate. Good for your vet for treating appropriately,
and not writing your cat off! can you let us know his name and
location, we keep a record of all FELV friendly vets so others can
find them.
