I just looked at the decoding output - stereo and 6 channel - of a DTS 5.1
stream with audacity and they both look very similar with respect to the stereo
channels (right channel has center added, iiuc).

appended the output of teh encoding command, and mediainfo of
source/result
encoding to interlaced mpeg2 works perfect, encoding to x264 work
half(produces interlaced PAFF video, but in wrong field order)

h264 ffmpeg on our Ubuntu 10.04 servers for encoding. We are using Kino to
capture the dv files but for some reason the new ffmpeg is reading the dv files
