enabled. Using an ffmpeg compiled from git on July 21, 2011 I would get a
warning Convertion will not be lossless' in this scenario. In the latest
git master 24 bit audio converts

A possibly related bug is the null-pointer dereference in line 136 of
xsubenc.c in xsub_encode():

One way of streaming the output and saving the same output to a local file
would be to use something like this (I guess):

but that way FFmpeg would use 2 (identical

This is a 5 channel file which will be downmixed by ffmpeg to 4 channels,
since SDL only supports 4 or 6 channels.
Can you try the following two commands?
SDL_AUDIO_CHANNELS=2 ffplay ~/download/ffplay-noaudio
