Is it out yet? I read about it in kodak homepage.
Does anyone know anything more about this scanner? It
seems like a great scanner for its price.
All I can tell you is what I've been told secondhand. It's a Kodak-badged
design from Pacific Image, allegedly, and although it can scan an
The Polaroid is considerably cheaper than the Microtek at this time. I also
like everything I've heard about their support. They seem extremely
interested in improving their software offering, continually updating it.
Silverfast is bundled with it now. I sent them email asking a couple
questions

I added support for Epson scanners to VueScan 6.3 beta 1,
and I'd appreciate it if people could test it for me with a
variety of Epson scanners.
You can download it from:

If it doesn't work, could you:
1) Run VueScan
2) Turn on "Files|Output log file"
3) Exit
Dave - Why not spot the hi-bit image? Rubber stamp works in hi-bit mode,
even in PS 5.5. That way, one can rescale/recrop/reuse the hi-bit
another time, without spotting again.

But does sticking your monopod down the front of your trousers look
any less absurd or any more comfortable?

Vuescan "mode" detects the slide adapter for my LS-2000, and
assumes "slide" while I am really scanning a (flatter) negative. Does
Vuescan pass this "color positive" assumption to other parameters
which would adversely affect the scanning of a negative??? I haven't
found any implication
Good, that is.

I wonder if its histogram can be examined(?)

I would like to see histograms for each of the RGBI channels displayed
within VueScan. And a count of the pixels clipped to either min or max

I would also like to be able to save the Infrared image

Al,
thanks a lot for the URL! My current method is just bloody trial and
error. I get on quite well with manipulating curves, because it kind of
suits my photographic thinking, but for the rest I'm only just exploring
the possibilities of Photoshop.
