The logic, from the consumer's point of view, is to purchase both scanners
(the SS120 and SS4000). Essentially you are paying approximately $150 for
the SS4000 if you subtract the value of the software and the rebate. Then

Hi,
I realise it's a bit off-topic, but does anyone out there have some

First of all, realize that you need to let your audience seating area
determine the screen size, not vice-versa. Screens are relatively
inexpensive, so don't make the mistake of designing your display system

Congratulations on your SS4000 purchase. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I'm not so sure about SilverFast, though, as I've had nothing but trouble with it.
Anyway, to answer your questions, to eject the film carrier from the scanner, look to the left side of the SilverFast preview screen.

Can you confirm if the rebate is available to Canadians from Canadian

The coupon I saw via ecost only mentioned US purchases.
Also, do you have any idea why Canadian retailers are not moving from

Hello,
Sony are very good for their price: about 2000 USD.
If you look for more advance models, maybe NEC.

Why this is so I don't know, but the first thing to try is to set Media type

I think that some additional costs over the current steal price would be

current sub $500 level.

Vuescan's results better with these settings, and sometimes

If for any reason what is provided is unacceptable the customer is notified.
