[filmscanners] FW: filmscanners: Merging multiple scans in Photoshop to deal with very high-contrast scenes

2002-01-08 Thread Jawed Ashraf
Here's something I posted a while back. It's not directly relevant, but it might provide food for thought. Using a scanner and a single frame of film I dare say it is possible to scan it differently, twice and combine the results. Though I have to say, with Vuescan's ability to capture the

I have just reinstalled my windows op system after my computer becoming unstable. As yet I have not intalled Nikon Scan but I have installed Vuescan. I was supprised to find that my LS30 was reconised by VS even though Nikon Scan is not yet installed. The device manager has a ? against the LS30.

Where do you live? I helped someone set up a pair of DBLs some time ago and in our dry climate (Calgary) the silicone seal dried up over time. Do they still use that? I only have the Intros myself. Ken -Original Message- Subject: [filmscanners] RE: Clipping Yeah - they use an

I downloaded the demo of Vuescan as an alternative to the woefully inadequate Epson driver, but I've hit a snag that hopefully somebody else has seen. If I preview and scan a reflective doc, it works perfectly; however, if I preview something with the 4x5 transparency adapter, I can watch the
