version of Photoshop (6), and I have a couple of really dumb
questions:
1) This may be actually a Windows question, I'm running ME, but is
there a way to change the default view of a folder when you go to
Open? PS is defaulting to

you can fix that. In an Explorer window, set the window to look the way you
want it, then go to Tools-Folder Options-View and click Like Current

Can anyone suggest a good way to clean slides and negs prior to scanning? I
clean the best I can with a soft brush and light puffs of air but still wind
up with dust on my scans. I verified that the dust is not in my scanner.
I'd like to get as much off the originals as possible as I don't like

the best way I know of is to use Pec12, a cleaning fluid available from
Photographic Solutions, Inc http://www.photographicsolutions.com/. They
also sell special tissue sheets and swabs to clean film and digital sensors.
