I concur! I bought the SS4K shortly after it came out for Much $$$. But I
was willing to pay the price because of David's support to this list. I had
a great deal more confidence that the software would get timely upgrades and
that the product's problems would get addressed than I had with

Are you sure it wasn't MTF which is modulation transfer function. MTF
describes the resolution of an imaging system. It is the response of the
system to different spatial frequencies (usually expressed in lines per
millimeter) and is typically presented as a plot of some output parameter

1640 SU Photo mostly for astrophotos which means I do raw scans and process
in PS and/or PW. Since Polaroid appears to have stopped developing software

What filmholder did you use? The information I've been able to get indicates
you receive 4 holders with the transparency adapter - 35mm slide, 35mm neg.,
4x5, and a "Brownie". I remember Brownies from a long time ago but I have
no idea what size the film was. Did you use this holder or
