Regarding suggestions to Eizo: Maybe he should also give a try with HP repair services in UK and Germany? HP has large organizations there and research labs. Maybe the refusal to repair was someone's individual mistake? Don't bother with HP Germany! Their customer support / repair is bad,

I'm assuming these defects move around and are not permanent in the files, in other words an image with this defect if opened another time, or on another system, will either not show it or show it in a different location. The first thing I would do is to start your system in safe mode and see if
