Arthur: Even Ed has mentioned that you will not gain much, if anything from doing so. It's that little bit that I wouldn't mind gaining. :) I'm happy with incremental improvements. Anything that will help the image. Don't get me wrong. I'm extremely happy with what I can get from my SS4000

the automatic alignment of the infrared and rgb passes will be released in beta 9 in the next day or so. I believe similar techniques could be used to improve/enable multi-scanning on units with less than accurate alignment. This would certainly benefit many scanners. Is it practical - do you
