Unfortunately, HP did not make me privy of the materials in use within
this scanner, nor did I dismantle mine to test the options.
As someone else suggested, contacting HP's tech people might prove most
effective, as they might know the answers you
Richard I have no direct knowledge; however, I have found the
people at HP's tech support to be very good. If there is a
coating on the glass that could be damaged by acidic (vinegar) or
alkaline (soap, windex, etc.) they will know. If you are going
to call HP's tech support I would suggest
