Thanks for reminding me the light at the end of the tunnel is probably a
train coming straight at me! ;-)
BTW I only buy stereo equipment which has a creamy centre, or center,
depending on which brand of english one spells with... that way, all my
CDs sound like muzak.

By the way, does anyone know how to email Minolta? I spent too much time
trying to figure out how to send a simple email on their website. Finally,
I just gave up.
Try [EMAIL PROTECTED] which was a tech support person 3 years ago.

Thanks for that Petru - I must have missed that wonderful Tony Sleep contribution :)
I too have grave doubts about the Imaging Resource reviews - as Tony says, their
comments about never having seen a 2800 dpi scanner and the fact that they were

I also feel the Imaging Resource scanner reviews are weak. The scanner

Thank you to Bernhard Ess and Victor Landweber for the URL on the Minolta

Just thought you might be interested to know that you both know more than
Minolta does!
I called Minolta and spoke to a fellow in digital imaging. He knew nothing
about any available reviews on the Scan Multi

It is amazing how companies do not really want to be bothered answering questions,
especially via
I think many of them are concerned about an e-mail-delivered
virus. Of course there are lots of ways around that, but it at least
makes for a good excuse. Of course, also, they really aren't all that
concerned about what their customers have to say, anyway...

Hello there:
Just wondering if anyone has come across an actual test review of the
Minolta Scan Multi Pro unit?
(Not the Press Release...but the real thing)
Thanks in advance!

Look at: http://www.imaging-resource.com/SCAN/DSMP/DSMA.HTM
I'm still wondering about the LONG scan times for MF film at highest
resolution. The Minolta specs state a MUCH shorter time -- 230 seconds as I
recall. Could it be the slow Mac they were using at Image-Resource.com? Or
