[filmscanners] Pacific Image PowerSlide 3600, 3600dpi, Automated, 35mm, Slide Scanner

Does anyone have any experience with the Pacific Image PowerSlide 3600 Slide Scanner? I found a couple of non committal mentions in Google Groups, and a couple of negative reports elsewhere. It is attractive because it provides reasonably priced batch scanning of slides - but only if it works! --
