know exactly what is cued into the other parts.

The only way I have been able to accomplish this, using Fin2K7, is to
turn on Layer 4 when printing parts and turn it off again when
printing the score. It's a kludge, but it accomplishes what you
want. Go to Layer Options in Finale Preferences and check or uncheck
the box that says

In the Fin07 and Fin08 default file, there are two new staff style
called 'Blank Notation with Rests'. This hides any notes in the
measure and replaces them with whole note

I have no idea if this is related, but every time that I
start Finale,
even if all the MIDI setup has been done correctly before and I am
opening a file that played fine, I still have to go into MIDI / MIDI
Setup and click on OK to get MIDI input/output to work.
This is on Windows,
