Hey Jef, What version? Recent versions of Finale have had a nasty bug where they continually crash Apple's Spotlight indexing feature, over and over again, causing slowdowns over time. I believe this is fixed in Finale 2012b, but if you are using an earlier version, it may help to disable Spot
