I am, for one, very optimistic. I see no evidence that Finale is a dead end. I
have had Finale since the start and every update is a big improvement of a
great product that does everything I need it to do (And i am a very heavy, hard
core user).

I have been testing Finale 2012 on my MacBook Pro with Yosemite.
When I create a new document with the startup wizard I can save it, edit it,
close it and reopen it. It all seems fine until I try to play it back.
I switched Human Playback to NONE, turned scrolling on, and it played fine

I updated to Yosemite and have had no issues using Finale 2014, or any other
programs that I have used. I have the latest versions and updates of everything
on my computer. Generally I upgrade everything the moment it is possible, and
have never had a problem doing so. I am using a MacBook Pro

in the middle of a glissandi, the pitch bend gets stuck and that track plays
