anyone know how to allow finale to beam over grace notes such as groups of
three eighth notes in 6/8 time with grace notes (drum rudiments - flams and
drags etc) in between?

it.) Don't worry, the grace note won't connect with the normal-sized eighth,
but you have to toggle it on anyway.
There is no way I know of to accomplish this automatically.

I have not been able to get it to work all the time either (when I am in 3/8.

I had the same problem and jumped through all the same hoops. as a
result. I now use 07 whenever possible. on the rare occasions that I
need to use 08, I remove the MOTU PCI driver and run both DP and
finale off an Mbox that I keep in my system for translating and
editing pro tools docs.
I started this thread and the only way I was able to get finale 2008
back was to open the extensions folder in the system folder and
remove the MOTU audio driver. of course I now have to re-install the
driver. (you can't just drag it back into the folder like we did back
in the day).
