I have begun a new (my first) project in 2006b, and have experienced
crashes. I entered about 8 measures of the piece (2 oboes, 2 trumpets,
timpani, 2 violins, viola, cello - the trombone and voice parts dont
enter for another several measures).
I'm using the GPO instruments in the setup wizard document to setup my
score. After entering all of the above parts with notes, sometimes I
get some garbled sounds, most often in the first measure, sometimes,
not, sometimes a few measures in the piece. Hmmm, not happy about this.
The big problem seems to be after quitting Finale 2006b, then
re-opening the new file and trying to play the 8 measures for which I
have entered notes. When I click on play, Finale seems to download the
first several instruments worth of GPO sounds, then Finale 2006b just
flat out quits the program. This has happened several times!!! Anyone
else experiencing this? Is this a 2006b BUG, or am I doing (or not
doing) something wrong???
