Did you add the custom font name to your user account's
MacSymbolFont.txt? All notation fonts must be listed there (true for
both platforms).

I did look at the PDFs but I wasn't exactly sure what I was seeing until I
looked again. This is a good find! Never thought to look here for the
problem. I'll bet you don't see the same issue in the vanilla release.
I'll try to check today.

Have you tried turning OFF the following program options and then making
the template?
1. OPEN->"Clean Up File Data"
2. OPEN->Text Conversion: "Automatically Convert…" and "Automatically
Sync…"
3. EDIT->"Substitute Font for Missing Unicode Characters"
These four items will mess up a project quickl
