Several different versions of Java are SUPPOSED to be able to coexist
peacefully. What happens when you try to install it? Try ignoring the error
messages.
I had no trouble installing an earlier version of Java on my new Mac.

Thanks for the reply. Apparently I needed a different installer for Java. I
am up and running.

I installed Finale 2014 on my HD but it is asking for Legacy Java 6. I think I
downloaded the right version, but I can’t install Java as another, newer
version is present. What steps are required to get Finale 2014 up and running
on my Mac?

Articulation working correctly. Expression working correctly for some items.
The thing in common with items that still kill Finale seems to be that they are
‘duplicated’.
Not 100% on this though..
