So I would like to transfer some settings from older files to my Maestro
Font template file, and I am trying to follow the instructions here:
http://www.finalemusic.com/UserManuals/Finale2012Win/Content/Finale/ID_MENU_FILE_NEW_DEF_DOC.htm
Never mind that there is no longer a Component Files
This, I think, is relevant to a my posting the other day (don't know
whether it reached the list or not) I want to edit the Maestro Font
Template but haven't even been able to find it. (I want to change the
default page size to A4)
Cheers,
Lawrence

On Mac it's in ~/Library/Application Helper/MakeMusic/Finale
2012/Libraries. (~ is the user folder.)
But I haven't figured out how to open and save it without overriding
read-only options and changing the file type. For sure it doesn't match the
online docs.

The website I cited above has a link to a page that will tell you where the
files are in Win.

You should be able to change the file options in the Finder. Highlight the file
in the Finder window and then FileGet Info. Go to the very bottom of the Info
window to find file options.
