Thanks so much for getting back. It's a Mac OS X version 10.6.8. Magically, the folder reappeared today. I'm sure I didn't just not see it yesterday - Finder lets you sort files and folders by name, in alphabetical order, and I was looking right at where it should have been.
Really_weird. Very curious if anyone has any idea why this happens (spoke to a friend yesterday who's running Finale 09 on a PC, and he said he'd had the same thing happen to him). But thanks again.
