drag enclose all the bold condensed centred numbers and then drag them way past the bottom of the page in the part.

you can hide them which is better i think... if you change the payout, move measures to different systems the numbers might show up on the page.

here is what i do.

region 1 (parts) - measure #s showing at start of systems
region 2 (score) - measures enclosed, showing every 10 measures starting at measure 500 (or more if needed)

parts look fine. now:

1) opt-click every 10 measures in score, forcing region 2 to show. this also forces region 1 to show. 2) page by page in score, drag enclose all region 1 numbers and ctl-click, select menu items "show/hide based on region" 3) go to flute part (or any part staff showing m#s in score) and cmd-sh-H hide all score numbers

seems like finicky work maybe, but it is really quick once you get it, and the measure numbers remain unmoved, always in their default position, and you never have to remember to turn a region on or off for printing.
