Thanks for the help, Terry & Robert. Other machines here are on Maverick, but running Lion in the background might work. At this point, I am restoring my data after a trip to the Mac store where they did a clean re-install of 10.8. I hope I can get that working today as we are off on travels at

Terry Vosbein's idea might actually a good idea for a virtual Lion as well. If your computer has enough memory to run Lion in a virtual all the time in the background, you can leave it running as your print server. I can't swear it will work, but I think there is a good chance it will. This basical

Chuck, I faced the same problem trying to print to my trusted Dell 3100cn. It worked before, but not after the update. The solution I found was to turn printer sharing ON on another Mac in my house that I had not updated to mavericks. Both computers must be on the same wi-fi network. Then on

Chuck, By virtual Lion I mean running Lion under Parallels or Fusion. Apple explicitly allows Lion to be run as a virtual, so it should work. Printing would be a little cumbersome, so I don't recommend this unless you only do printing in isolated batches. On Thu, Oct 24, 2013 at 7:22 PM, Chuck

If the printer is a postscript printer, you could try the Generic Postscript printer driver. Or you could run a virtual Lion and print from there. On Thu, Oct 24, 2013 at 6:06 PM, Chuck Israels wrote: > Thanks, Darcy. I will be on the road (NYC & Europe) until mid November. > If a solution has

Hi Chuck, Can't help with the HP, but RE: large format lasers, I've been reasonably happy with my Ricoh Aficio SP6330N so far. http://www.adorama.com/RCASP6330N.html I was initially apprehensive about this model because I had a terrible experience with my previous Ricoh printer (AP2610), but a

Hi everyone, My upgrade immediately practice has bitten me big time this time. Maverick does not support the old printer driver for my HP 5000, and neither Apple nor HP will take responsibility. HP wants to sell me a $4,200 CP 6015dn (a color printer that I don’t need - nice but not necessary
