Still, when people install updates, they'd like to be asked
before the
updater overwrites files a user might have customized. I'm
not so much
concerned about the actual Finale Application being updated and
overwritten
along with
the Maestro Default file and others. No asking or anything.
We fixed this part.
The entire application bundle needs to be updated, when we do an update.
There was often much user confusion when they'd double-click a file and
the vanilla release opened instead of the maintenance
I downloaded the Finale 2007a updater on my Mac Powerbook G4, and I
don't see anything on my hard drive that specifically says 2007a
(whenever I previously updated to a newer version of Finale, the new
file with the year plus the update letter always appeared in my
folder). I don't see

Sho nuff ... when it's running, and I click on About Finale, it gives
the updated version. I guess I did update after all ... what a comfort.

Yeah, this year MakeMusic just wrote over the old program, along with
the Maestro Default file and others. No asking or anything. Just over
wrote it.

When you do this, does it say 2007.r1 or r3? Mine says r1, while others
have emailed me to say their's reads r3...besides, I updated today, and
the date still says last august, when I loaded the first version of
2007. Still not sure if the update downloaded correctly here!

After downloading the 2007a updater, when I highlight the application
on my hard drive, and then go to get info, my computer tells me I have
2007.r1 on my computer. Is this correct? A few people have emailed me
telling me their get info says r3. Hm...
