I thank you folks for the info, but I'm a bit confused (not at all an
unusual circumstance) ... I thought this was the use of cross staff
notation, at least that's the tool I used to get this particular
format. So, I'm not quite sure what is meant there. I do agree, now
that I know it's ok.
I think it looks a bit cluttered. Try putting the hairpins below the staff.
This will remove any doubt about where the crescendos and diminuendos begin
and end.
