Actually, the "iTunes" format is going to be better than MP3. It's actually
MP4, or AAC. For the same size, the file is going to sound better than a MP3.
And everything made since like 2009 or is running a more modern OS (Windows
Vista+ and Mac OS X 10.6+) should be able to play it just fine.
In my old Mac version (10.6.3) the file type for import and export are
set in the Preferences>General where you set Import settings from CDs.
Choose the preferred file format from that flip down menu. Save the
change. Select the song or songs you want to convert in the playlist.
