the hard-wired settings

They were available at www.virtualconservatory.com
and now that the instrument.txt file no longer exists...
i also used to be able to replace the english instrument.txt file
with a german one to be able to easily generate a score with german
instrument names... now this is not possible at all. for most cases

phew! ok now what programmes can edit this thing? i opened in
TextEdit and well... no way. MS word, excel, BBEdit, nope.
seems to be made in SQLite, so there is no way to access / edit this
file without being able to code in SQL?
you can use sqliteman , navicat or another sqlite manager
= you don't need to code in sql to edit the tables

Hi Michael,
Mark is correct about Finale behavior.
Some additional info -- Mac OS does not have or support the INS key. All
Mac-compatible keyboards have a Help key where the INS key would be on a PC
keyboard. It's possible to plug a PC keyboard into a Mac, but the INS key
will behave as if
