the idea may have been posted here at some point, but for me it has long been a logical use of linked parts (faultily implemented in the last 6 versions, yay make music!) and the new window feature available not only on finale but also on so many other programmes i work with. i.e. seriously

not really an answer to your question, but this should have been your approach in F2007. if it is not too much work i would suggest going through the doc and applying staff styles as needed (quite quick wth a metatool), they remain in place despite layout changes, contrary to the use of

That IS a good tip! After having it pointed out, it seems obvious, but I had certainly thought of it myself. It will be particularly helpful with placement of elements (dynamics, etc.) so that one can get good positioning that will work in both part and score. Thanks! Raymond Horton Bass

[Finale] independent time signatures

Has anyone here worked with the independent time signature feature (e.g., 5/2 in some parts against 15/4 in others)? My current project is calling for a lot of it. Is there any way to mass-copy the signatures from the non-independent parts to the independent parts without entering each one
