Hi to eveyrbody.
Having a rhythmic guitar part (Woodchopper's ball) where the last
quarter of a bar ties to the first quarter
of the next bar, why on hell the tie covers the whole next bar?
Last quarter = rhythmic notation
First quarter = slash notation
Tie = looong slur all over the
Grr..
I do this all the time. It usually works fine but is occasionally odd like
this.
My solution is to go back and forth between note-, rhythmic- and time-signature
spacing and update layout.
If that fails I delete the bars completely and do it again.

Hi, folks. Running Finale 2010 on a Macbook Pro and having a really
annoying problem. From time to time, a given function will just 'freeze up.'
Usually, it's the speedy entry tool - it just won't work, I won't be able
to highlight a measure and enter notes from my midi keyboard. Sometimes
it's
Thanks. Is that the case even if my current version, Finale 2008, was an
upgrade from Finale 2006?
Not that I'd want to use both versions, but just wondering.

Yes -- but if you go to re-install an earlier version you might have to
straighten things out with MakeMusic over the phone.
But current installations aren't supposed to affect the authorization
count for previous versions, even if you've got multiple versions only
through upgrades.

Hi,
Due to some ongoing problems I have been having
with my PC, I may have to re-install windows this
weekend. Is there anything I need to do to make
sure that Finale will install and run afterwards?
I was thinking of doing a non-destructive
install, but as I don't have any idea just *what*
De-authorize!

Subject: [Finale] the
backups so you don't have to build these from scratch:
prefs
component files: ???
ensembles.txt and pagesizes.txt (if you have changed them)
FANs (if you have changed them)
your default file(s)
document style files
templates
3rd-party plugins
etc.
Thanks. I think I will be ok about most of
it. I haven't changed any configuration files,
and all my template stuff is on a different
drive. Hopefully, I can reinstall the program,
point it at the right folders, and go.
I'll check to make sure I have everything, though.

Can someone confirm that this is a bug in Fin2012? With Use cross-layer
accidental positioning set in Document Options - Accidentals, a unison note
in 2 layers will have both accidentals spaced so they will not collide,
instead of coincidental as they should properly be. Unchecking the
i can confirm it works that way, don't think it is a bug but could be
a (dsy)functionality choice that was made sometime between 08/12
